The Lions Club is a community base organization. This years Club motto,"We Serve" has never been more appropriate today than any other year. This is due to the Lions biggest challenge facing Lionism; which is in its worldwide decling membership. The Greater Monrovia Lions Club received its orginal charter in 1962. However, due to the Liberian Civil War, that Club became inactive until after the Civil War ended. The Greater Monrovia Lions Club renewed its club membership in 2004. Currently Lee Davis is actively campaigning as a Write-in candidate in the cities of Long Beach, Compton, Rancho Dominguez, Carson, parts of Gardena, and parts of Los Angeles which includes Watts. During their visit President Albert Bandel pinned President Dean and gave her an International President's Lions Banner at the Headquarters.
